3. Medical and healthcare information

Information provided on this website is intended for general information and educational purposes only. It should not be treated as a diagnosis, personalised medical advice or a substitute for an assessment by an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Symptoms, conditions and treatment needs vary between individuals. Information provided on the website may not be appropriate for your particular circumstances.

If you are concerned about your health, symptoms or medical condition, you should seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional.

If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, you should contact the appropriate emergency medical service rather than relying on information provided through this website.

4. Physiotherapy and treatment services

Treatment recommendations are made following an appropriate assessment and are based on the information available to the treating clinician at the time.

Where appropriate, your physiotherapist or other treating healthcare professional will discuss your assessment, treatment options, potential benefits, limitations and any relevant risks with you.

Treatment will only be provided where the clinician considers it clinically appropriate and within their professional scope of practice.

We cannot guarantee that any particular treatment, rehabilitation programme, exercise programme, injection or other service will produce a specific outcome or completely resolve your symptoms.

5. Information you provide to us

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information that may be relevant to your assessment or treatment.

This may include information about your symptoms, medical history, medication, allergies, previous treatment, investigations and any changes to your health.

You should tell your clinician if your symptoms or medical circumstances change during the course of your treatment.

6. Appointments and bookings

Appointments may be booked online, by telephone, by email or by another booking method made available by PhysioPoint.

Your appointment is not guaranteed until the booking has been accepted or confirmed by PhysioPoint.

You are responsible for ensuring that the contact information supplied when making a booking is correct so that we can send appointment information or contact you where necessary.

Appointment availability shown online may change and does not constitute a guarantee that a particular appointment time will remain available until the booking is confirmed.

7. Appointment times

Please arrive at the agreed time for your appointment. If you arrive late, we may need to shorten your appointment so that subsequent patients are not delayed.

If you arrive significantly late, it may not be possible to provide the appointment and you may need to rearrange your booking.

8. Cancellations and missed appointments

If you are unable to attend an appointment, please contact PhysioPoint as soon as reasonably possible.

Any cancellation, rescheduling or non-attendance conditions applicable to your appointment will be communicated to you as part of the booking process or by the clinic.

Where a cancellation or missed appointment charge has been clearly communicated and is applicable, you may be required to pay that charge.

PhysioPoint may need to cancel or rearrange an appointment due to clinician illness, emergencies, operational circumstances or other events outside our reasonable control. Where this happens, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you and arrange another suitable appointment.

9. Fees and payment

Fees for services may vary depending on the treatment, appointment type, clinician, location or other relevant circumstances.

Where prices are displayed on our website, we aim to keep them accurate and up to date. The applicable price will be the price confirmed to you when booking or before the relevant service is provided.

You are responsible for payment of charges associated with your appointment unless payment is being made by an insurer, employer or other third party under an arrangement accepted by PhysioPoint.

10. Private medical insurance and third-party funding

Where treatment is being funded by a private medical insurer, employer or another organisation, you are responsible for checking the terms of your cover and obtaining any required authorisation.

Insurance policies may include treatment limits, excess payments, exclusions or other restrictions. PhysioPoint cannot guarantee that an insurer or third party will pay for all treatment provided.

Where an insurer or other third party does not pay an amount for which you are personally responsible, we may request payment directly from you where permitted by the relevant agreement.

11. Home visits

Where PhysioPoint provides physiotherapy or other services at a patient's home or another agreed location, the patient is responsible for providing a reasonably safe environment in which the clinician can carry out the appointment.

We reserve the right to stop, postpone or refuse a home visit where the clinician reasonably believes that it would be unsafe or inappropriate to continue.

12. Treatment of children and young people

Treatment involving children or young people will be provided in accordance with applicable professional, safeguarding and consent requirements.

A parent, guardian or other appropriate responsible adult may be required to provide consent or attend appointments depending on the patient's age, circumstances and the nature of the treatment.
