Neck pain can develop after an awkward movement, prolonged posture, muscle strain or an injury. It can also occur alongside age-related changes in the neck. Symptoms may include stiffness, muscle spasm, reduced movement, headache or pain around the shoulder blade.
A thorough assessment helps us understand your symptoms, daily activities, medical history and goals. This lets us agree a sensible next step rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all solution.
For non-specific neck pain, physiotherapy can use a combined approach. This may include education, stretching and strengthening exercises, and manual therapy where it is appropriate for you.
If symptoms are persistent or more complex, we can work alongside your GP or other healthcare professionals to support a coordinated plan.
